according to WLKY News Louisvillethe name of the person Troy Heller it was completely dumbfounded when the letter he threw into the Atlantic Ocean in 10 years “found a way back” for people. It was 1985 when he shoved the note into a Pepsi bottled, sealed, and thrown into the ocean while on vacation with his family in Vero Beach, Florida. Speaking of his thoughts at the time, the now 47-year-old said:
“I just thought I’d throw it in the ocean and see where it goes.”
And not far! Nearly 4 decades later it was washed in the land and found only 13 miles from the area then-young threw it. In November, two teachers were cleaning up the beach from Hurricane Nicole when they found a bottle washed ashore. Instead of saving it or throwing it away, he sends a message in a bottle to a family walking nearby – and he decides to find the original writer.

Katie Carmax told the outlet he was walking with his wife and two daughters when the teacher handed him a note:
“We feel very special that we met two wonderful teachers who picked up trash after the hurricane.”
When the family arrived home, they smashed the bottle and pulled out the note, showing Troy’s name, age, address and phone number according to a video posted by the Carmaxes. TikTok. At the end of the note, the 10-year-old wrote:
“PS anyone who finds this call me, or write to me.”
A little internet sleuthing and Katie, along with her family, did just that! He was able to track down Troy and call him. He noted for wolf he ignored the call on the phone from Florida, but when he received a text message from the same number and a photo of the letter, he was immediately thrown back to 1985:
“When I saw it, I remembered writing it. I’m just surprised it didn’t break… It’s great to finally see you again.”
