Kennedy Agyapong promised to find the killer of Ahmed Suale, JB Danquah if he becomes president
Assin Central Member of Parliament Kennedy Agyapong has promised Ghanaians to investigate the killing of investigative journalist Ahmed Suale and Abuakwa North Member of Parliament JB Danquah if he wins the Presidency.
He said that he had been accused of having a hand in the murder case so he had to acquit himself.
Speaking on the Good Evening Ghana show, Tuesday, January 31, the flagbearer hopeful of the New Patitoc Party (NPP) said as President, he would show interest in the two cases.
This will force the Police to take action to find the culprits, he said.
“The problem is that if the president shows interest, the police will work and I will show interest. “I will show interest because I am the one who has been accused, it is important to exonerate myself” he said.
Ahmed Suale who was a member of Tigereye team PI Anas Aremeyaw Anas, was shot dead in January 2019 by an unknown person who was reportedly riding a motorcycle.
He was shot three times; twice in the chest and another in the neck while driving to Medina’s house.
Before his death, Mr. Agyapong had revealed the journalist’s face, on the television network, Net 2.
About JB Danquah, the then NPP MP was stabbed in the neck and chest several times on February 9, 2016, at his home in Shiashie in Accra by suspected armed robbers, killing him in the process.
One Daniel Asiedu, alias Sexy Dondon, was arrested and charged with murder but not convicted.
