Heartbreaking… As previously mentioned, the career milestone came a day before police and the Nashville Fire Department were called to the home at 1:21 a.m. on Friday and found the musician dead from a gunshot wound. The official said people in time:
“Her death is being investigated as an apparent suicide.”
Kellie told law enforcement that she woke up early but couldn’t find her husband. As he and his personal assistant search his home, he realizes the “room/office upstairs” won’t open and calls the authorities. The police were finally able to enter the room and when they found Kyle had died by suicide. So, it’s very sad.
At this time, the American Idol alum has not spoken out about passing. But several country music friends and loved ones have offered condolences and support for Kellie following this loss, including Jan Kramer who wrote on Saturday’s Instagram Stories:
“We love you @kelliepickler. We are praying for you and everyone who loves Kyle. … Please call your friends. Even the ones you think are happy. Everyone is struggling and you are not alone in that struggle. There are people who want to be there for you .”
Her ex Pickler & Ben talk show co-host Ben Aaron wrote an emotional tribute to Kylie on Instagram Saturday, writing:
“I’ve never had many male friends because I’ve never been a regular guy. It’s always been hard for me to meet pals. Then came Kyle, a package deal with my ex-wife Kellie. I remember meeting him for the first time at a sushi joint in Nashville. He and we’re two completely different species. Kyle’s a midwestern country music major and I’m a bit of a New York City wise a**. But from the jump, we clicked. So the three conversations became me and he became one. This first meeting led to our nightly ritual , dinner after the show, the three of us or often just Kyle and I sit for hours talking about anything and anyone. Kellie often jokes that she is the third wheel.
He continued:
“He’s a safe place for me, I’m in a strange city surrounded by other people. If we’re at an event, he’ll come around me and lead me in the room, welcoming me into his world. I love Kyle because it’s impossible not to. He so grounded in a world where so many people are floating aimlessly. I want someone like Kyle in everyone’s life, someone who wants to be with you when your world is crazy. All these situations are pointless but usually not. I’ll miss your warmth and scratchy cackle from laughing, I will miss our random texts when we see some inappropriate sign or joke. But most importantly I will miss you my friend.”
Our hearts break for Kellie and her loved ones. We send him so much love during this painful time.
