KBL: Without Ethan Alvano, Wonju loses big to Seoul SK Knights

MANILA, Philippines—Wonju DB Promy missed the services of Ethan Alvano on Wednesday.

With the Fil-American guard unavailable, Wonju suffered a 97-63 whipping at the hands of the SK Seoul Knights at the Jamsil Student Gymnasium.

Jameel Warney paced the Knights with a double-double performance of 29 points and 14 rebounds.

Jun-hyung Choi added 17 points, built on three triples, for defending champion Seoul, which is good for a 16-12 slate.

Alvano, 26, has emerged as one of Wonju’s main weapons in his first season in the KBL.

Alvano averaged 13.6 points, 3.7 rebounds, 5.2 assists and 1.3 steals per game for DB Promy, who fell to 11-18.

Wonju had four players score 10 each in the loss while Lennard Freeman had eight points and 13 rebounds.
