As already reported, the police arrested a 28-year-old boy Bryan Kohberger last month for the brutal murder of four students: Ethan Chapin, Xana Kernodle, Madison Mogenand Kaylee Goncalves. A lot of details about what caused the police to connect Washington State University grad student for the crime was not revealed by law enforcement at the time of arrest. When Kohberger was finally extradited to Idaho this week, the probable cause affidavit was released to the public and revealed some shocking evidence – including the fact that one of his surviving roommates saw him the night of the gruesome murder!

According to the affidavit, the roommate “opened the door a third time” on November 13 and “after hearing cries and saw a figure dressed in black and with a mask covering his mouth and nose walking towards him.” OMG! When the suspect walked past her to the back sliding door, she stood frozen and then “locked herself in the room after seeing the man.” He went to sleep. A 911 call was made from one of the roommate’s calls a few hours later, and police arrived on the scene to find four victims stabbed to death.
Since the release of the affidavit, the roommate has been criticized for not calling the police after seeing the killer at an off-campus home that night. However, Kaylee’s family made one thing clear: her roommate “is still a victim in this case.” Lawyer Goncalves, Shannon Graytoward Fox News this saturday:
“He was scared. He was scared to death, and rightly so. This man just killed four people in the house.”
Gray later noted that he could provide “useful” information to the case, explaining:
“The fact that they can provide additional Identification, I think is useful in this case. They can provide the type of type and build and what [the suspect] looks like a little bit – bushy eyebrows, things along those lines.
In the end, Gray points out that the Goncalves family has no “harm against him,” and that the police are just “relieved” to find the suspect and give “a name and a face to this whole thing”:
“Nobody knew anything about Kohberger until he was arrested. We didn’t know anything until the name was released to the public. Obviously, from then on, because we have a name and a face, I think the whole family will go back and see if there is anything. [are] any relationship between the victims in the case.
