Katie Maloney and Tom Schwartz agreed not to hook up with one of the other mutual friends after they parted ways around this time last year. But a month later, as filming began in the 10th season of Vanderpump Rulesthat agreement goes out the window when Tom is caught kissing his friend, Rachel Lewis.
Before recalling her decision to divorce Tom and teasing what’s to come in the new episode, Katie reflects on how she felt after learning Tom and Raquel had hooked up in the middle of production, slamming Tom for being rude, and talking about Raquel’s opinion. “Couldn’t be cheaper.”
“It just made me realize that this person, in any situation, will not respect me and will only continue to humiliate me,”Katie told Entertainment Tonight Kiss Tom and Raquel on February 7. “It’s toxic. I don’t want us to be a Vanderpump Rules The statistics are very incest.
According to Katie, she and Tom promised each other not to hook up with anyone in their friend group in an effort to preserve their friendship.
“It felt like such a slap in the face,” Katie said. “We really had a lot of conversations and were on the same page about everything, and I just couldn’t wrap my head around it.”
Katie also can’t wrap her head around the fact that Raquel is involved in make-up, and she admits to feeling “a little bit” like Raquel planned the encounter because she “directed everything”.
“His opinion could not be lower,” he declared. “I think now people have a lot of preconceived preconceived ideas about how and why it goes down, and I think you will be surprised, maybe.”
In early 2022, as Pump Rules in the hiatus, Katie found herself questioning the relationship, confessing to herself that Tom did not seem to know how to meet his needs and did not seem willing to put in the work. And when the two go to therapy, things don’t get any better.
“You think [that] Maybe, when someone grows up, they will grow out of that thing, they will grow up, but it didn’t happen, unfortunately, “he explained. “I felt like I was the only kind of choice and [he was] thinking I’m not going anywhere, so they shouldn’t make me a priority.”
Go ahead, Katie, who has been linked Satchel Clendenin and Luke Gage last month, said he was looking for someone who was “more serious” and “emotionally mature.”
“I like people who have a good sense of humor, we can laugh and play together and just support each other in our endeavors… A true partnership. Someone who will be… emotionally supportive and doesn’t treat me as an option,” he explained. “[And] me [don’t] want to throw anything in Tom’s face.”
Although Katie is currently single, she is “not opposed” to remarrying.
“But it’s all about the party that’s hard to describe on your own [again]… I don’t think I’ll do it again,” he noted.
As for where she and Tom stand today, Katie says they are doing well.
“We don’t talk every day. We don’t see each other every time,” she said. “[But] we, for the first time, kind of caught up in the birthday. We had lunch. And that’s good. It’s very good. I would love to just check with him.
Regarding season 10, Katie said she’s excited for viewers to see a “very different side” of her.
“You’ve never seen me on a date, you’ve never seen me without Tom… I’m definitely looking forward to that,” she said.
