Katie Maloney is clapping back on Scheana Shay to advise him to give his blessing to Tom Schwartz and Rachel Lewis.
Along with a series of leaked texts between the two, the Vanderpump Rules star called out Scheana to use her for the season 10 storyline while also making it clear that she never wanted to see her ex-husband hook up with their castmate.
After the SUR Rules fan page on Instagram shared a video of Scheana, who claimed that Katie “gave her blessing for Schwartz and Raquel’s fling,” Katie responded by clarifying that the conversation must have come during a drunken midnight in Las Vegas.
“I had 17 drinks before this ‘conversation’ lol I was making light of the rumors and sure yes any girl .. talk to me when I’m sober. But I think I got what I needed,” wrote Katie in response.
Then, after a fan said she didn’t think she was trying to control Schwartz, as Scheana suggested, Katie agreed.
“Let’s be real I never ‘controlled’ that person. They always do whatever they want. And Scheana just needs a storyline,” he said.
After the comment, Katie took to her Instagram Story, via Pump Rules on Instagram, where he leaked some messages from Scheana.
“I’m pretty clear that I didn’t mean or co-sign sh-t.. so why do I have to do this?” Katie wrote in the caption of one of her posts.
“I don’t need you to help Tom with anything,” Katie said in a text, also adding, “Scheana got a grip, my life is a mess.”
“I know now,” Katie replied. “When we were caught in Vegas it was a very different story you gave me so forgive me for being caught dead in the moment.”
Then, after Katie reminded Scheana that she had “no one to support” her divorce from him. Mike ShayScheana replied, “I want to be here for you and Tom. You’re my best friend and I love you both.”
Along with another series of messages, Katie continued, “Back in May .. After we talked in Vegas .. I told Scheana I’m not down for this sh-t .. So keep up with this diabolical bullshit ..”
“So you made a front?” Scheana wondered after Katie told her she wasn’t okay with Tom hooking up with Raquel.
“Being in public is what I want,” Katie said.
“Literally why do I think you’re lying in front of me??” replied Scheana. “You told me you liked it better and stuff, so I like you.”
At that point, Katie told Scheana she couldn’t RSVP for her and Brock Davies‘ then-future wedding in Mexico.
“I talked to Shelby and she said you’re booked… You actually told me in Vegas that you wanted Tom to move. [because] it will be easier for you [because] you’ve… And you’re encouraging me to move forward,” Scheana explained.
“I want Tom to move on. Of course. That’s not really what I want,” Katie replied.
“So that’s what I did [because] that’s what you asked!” Scheana continued. “A few weeks ago we had the Brock family in town, [birthday], Mother’s Day, floods, twice traveled across the country and just started therapy. I’m not even planning my own wedding.”
Also in her Instagram Story, after sharing the third message, Katie included the caption, “After starting work. Invite Schwartz and Raquel to her birthday (not me) very obvious but definitely [too] busy checking in with me.”
“I sold my house, my belongings were divided. Trying to find a place to live. Record a podcast… You tell me [Lala Kent] how much Schwartz means to you and blah blah… Now sorry girl… You just want to be there for people and you use people to create drama… And I’m not here for that,” Katie announced.
“And I’ve been stressed [as f-ck] raising a child wondering if I still have a job, I’m sorry I didn’t check a few weeks ago when I was sure in Vegas that you’re happier now,” Scheana said. “I’m sorry if it’s not like that and it’s hard. I know how hard it is, I’ve been there too.”
But when Scheana tried to show she had “empathy” for Katie’s situation, Katie accused her of making up drama “about. [her].”
