Katie Holmes Reunites With 'Dawson's Creek' Costars After Off-Broadway Play- 'A Wonderful Night' - 213

Back to Capeside! Kate Holmes reunited with the two of them Dawson Creek costars after they came to see him perform in an Off-Broadway play The Wanderers.

John Wesley Shipp and Mary-Margaret Humes supported on The first daughter actress, 44, on Friday, March 24, performance shows in New York City. “Thank you @thereal_marymargarethumes and @johnwesleyshippjr for your support and love!” Holmes wrote via her Instagram Story, sharing a photo of herself with former friends and friends JC Alvarez.

Humes, 68, reposted the same photo via her own Instagram account, adding the caption: “Amazing night watching the beautiful @katieholmes. 👏👏👏👏 She’s sensational as always!! Go see The VICTIMS @roundaboutnyc #foreverfriends #dawsonscreek 25 years later ❤️❤️❤️.”

Shipp, also 68, advised his Instagram followers to watch as well as play, sharing additional snaps from the evening. “Go see #thewanderer at #roundabout @ #laurapelstheatre – great companion in a fun and meaningful play – love you, Katie,” she wrote on Saturday, March 25.

Humes and Shipp played Gail and Mitch Leery, respectively, in the Dawson Creekwhich aired from 1998 to 2003. Mitch and Gail are the parents of Dawson Leery (James Van Der Beek), who dated Holmes’ character, Joey Potter, died and throughout the series.

In January, the teen drama celebrated its 25th anniversary. “Twenty-five years ago today … my life changed. Not gradually, not every day … immediately,” Van Der Beek, 46, wrote via Instagram when that. “This is the culmination of 5 years of auditions, hundreds of hours on stage, thousands of hours of traveling, preparing, dreaming, hoping, hearing ‘no,’ and making excuses to keep going. But it’s a one-night shift.”
