All good things must come to an end. Kathryn Dennis it is revealed that he left Southern charm after eight seasons.
“This is really good!” Dennis, 31, told people in a statement on Friday, January 11. “Can you believe I was 21 when I first started filming Southern charm, back in the first season? It was in 2013, and in the next decade, it’s safe to say my life changed in ways I couldn’t imagine. It’s not always easy, but I’m very happy to have a reality camera there, capturing many moments that I will never forget (and some, even, that I wish I had).
The model, who has been a part of the show since 2014, thanked her fans for watching her “grow up” and being “a mother to two amazing children and building friendships that I will cherish forever.” Dennis shares daughter Kensington Calhoun, 8, and son Saint Julian, 6, with his former castmate Thomas Ravenel, who appeared in seasons 1 through 6 of the reality series before exiting amid allegations of sexual assault. The former politician settled a lawsuit filed against him in 2019. (Ravenel, 60, also shares son Jonathan, 2, with his ex Heather Mascoe.)
She continued, “Through it all, the love you’ve shown me has not only given me the strength I need to get through it all, but it’s helped me know I’m not alone. I’m so grateful. “I’ll take your love with me as I enter the next chapter of my life , away from Southern charm lens. I thank Bravo, the producers at Haymaker and my Charleston cast mates for everything.
The South Carolina native explained that while he will miss his time on the hit Bravo series, he’s excited to see what the next chapter brings. “If it’s like the last decade, it will be an unforgettable journey. LFG [let’s f–king go],” she concluded her statement.
The news about Dennis came out the day after deadline it is reported that he will be billed as a guest star in the Southern charm the next nine seasons. The mother of two first started the series as a part-time cast member but there is update to series regular in season 2 after he and Ravenel start their romance.
Season 8 of the show follows Dennis’ most recent relationship with the present Chleb Ravenell. The pair were first linked in 2020 but broke up during production.
“Every time we make a movie, it’s just an argument,” Ravenell, 34, said exclusively. We are Sundayy in July 2022 about watching romance and breakups on the show. “It was so small. So we were just like, ‘You know what? We’ve got to get rid of this.'”
She added, “He didn’t tell me what he was going through. He told me he was going to have court cases and stuff where his kids were and custody [were involved] … He didn’t tell me about his relationship [with the cast]. I just went in blind, helping him. And then it was like everything fell on me.
It has not been confirmed that Ravenell will appear in season 9 of Southern charmwhich is also a star Craig Conover, Shep Rose, Austen Kroll, Come on Aspen and Cam Bonaparte. Naomi Olindo, Madison LeCroy and His Summer House Paige DeSorbowho is dating Conover, 33, also has a big role in season 8.
