“This is really good!” he began.
“Can you believe I was 21 when I started filming ‘Southern Charm,’ during the first season?” Kathryn said.
“It was 2013,” Kathryn recalls.
“And in the next decade,” he continued, “it’s safe to say that my life changed in ways I couldn’t have imagined.”
Some of these changes are very positive. Others were sad. And some were downright tragic.
“It’s not always easy,” Kathryn admits.
“But I’m very happy to have a reality camera there,” he said. It’s an unusual sentiment.
But Kathryn feels grateful that the camera “recorded many moments that I will never forget (and some, even, that I want).”
Kathryn thanked her fans for standing with her as they watched her “grow up” on screen.
He stressed that he will “always cherish” the friendships he has built along the way.
Fans also watched as she “became a mother to two amazing children.”
“And through everything, the love y’all have shown to me not only gave me the strength I needed to tackle everything,” Kathryn wrote.
“But,” she continued, “it helps me know I’m not alone.”
Kathryn then assured her fans that “I’m so grateful.”
“I will carry that love with me as I enter the next chapter of my life,” Kathryn assured everyone.
He concluded by admitting that he would be doing it “away from the ‘Southern Charm’ lens.”
Considering the rumors had it that he was fired from years of bad behavior — mistreating the crew and showing up late — it was a pretty good send-off.
Meanwhile, RadarOnline reports that some cast members of Southern Charm are struggling to believe the news.
Some allegedly “don’t know” what’s going on amid reports that he won’t be in Season 9.
Perhaps, now that Kathryn herself has confirmed that she’s no longer on the show, she’ll be calling it quits.
