Below Deck alum Kate Chastain just don’t see the appeal in that Real Housewives of Orange County‘s Vicki Gunvalson.
While promoting her new show, The TraitorsKate was asked which Housewives she considered the most overrated, and Kate wasted no time in calling out Vicki, explaining that “she doesn’t get” all the hype over OG from OC.
“I just feel like he’s angry and screaming all the time,” Kate told Page Six Virtual Reali-Tea podcast.
As a “Bravo superfan”, Kate based many of her evaluations of Vicki on her time on the Peacock show, Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Ex-Wives Club.
During filming, Vicki was still processing her relationship with her ex-fiancé, Steve Lodgeand he got into a lot of nasty arguments with his friends, incl Brandy Glanvillewho claimed he was a “b*tch” to work with during the show’s production.
Vicki’s next venture will appear in the fourth season RHUGT, which is currently filming in Marrakech, Morocco. Kate says she hopes Vicki can change her attitude.
“I mean, I love that he’s going to Marrakech now to recreate it because, you know, he was vulnerable at that time at Bluestone Manor,” Kate told the outlet. “So, hopefully after this new ‘Girls Trip’ I’ll change my mind.”
However, for now, Kate still gives consideration, adding, “But now, Vicki needs to change her vibe.”
Kate’s traitor costars, Shah’s Sunset‘s Reza Appearrecently found himself in conflict with The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills‘ Kyle Richards after he affirmed Andy Cohen that Kyle was “the most overrated” housewives around Watch What Happens Live appear.
Kate said she saw “everything [feud] down” online and found “funny.”
“When I saw Kyle clap back, I was like, ‘He’s watching “Traitor”?’ So, thanks for that, Kyle Richards. And I think so [Reza’s] The clap-back was… good. I’m so happy for him,” Kate said.
In other news, Kate also took the time to reveal her and Brandy Glanville sparking new friendships during filming The Traitorsand they claim they almost filmed a reality show together.
“I’d be lying if I said a few [NBCUniversal] executives haven’t thrown that out on the table,” the former head of stew told the podcast.
However, as Kate became pregnant with her first child, the idea was shelved. However, don’t count them out. Kate still has hope that the idea will come true in the future.
“I would be surprised if at some stage down the road, there isn’t a Brandi and Kate reunion on camera,” he teased.
Kate later said that her friendship with Brandi was her “best gift [The Traitors]”and two” texts every day.
“When I read the texts I get from Brandi, they go viral. She’s the funniest human being I’ve ever met,” Kate explained. “She’s also smart and kind.”
Although Kate isn’t Vicki’s biggest fan, she follows Brandi, who also appeared in the fourth season. RHUGT.
“Brandi Glanville deserves to win. She’s done so much in every show,” Kate concluded. “He deserves flowers because, everything.”
