Just 42% of GE2019 CON voters now back Sunak’s party – YouGov – politicalbetting.com

But only 11% have moved to LAB

Out of all the posters online today, one company stands out and that is YouGov which is effectively the poll maker. One result is that the polling panel is larger than others with a good record of what the panel members said in the previous general election.

This means that when a company breaks down poll responses on past votes, it may be more reliable than a company asking people in 2023 what they did in 2019.

What is interesting about this latest poll is that only 42% of the sample registered in the YouGov database who voted Conservative in 2019 now say they are still in the party. Another figure that can be gleaned from this analysis is that a total of 30% of Tory voters in 2019 did not record their party choice.

From Starmer’s perspective, this is a group to ask for. Having only 11% of the CON GE2019 vote is not enough.
