On Tuesday’s episode of “The View,” host Joy Behar made a chilling prediction about the 2028 presidential election.
During the broadcast, the panel discussed President Donald Trump’s use of the U.S. military to police states he views as high in crime. Each co-host shared their perspective on the president’s actions, but it was Behar who suggested there might be a deeper implication behind them.
“This is a pretext to stop the next election. That’s what I think it is,” Behar said.
Before Behar’s point, co-host Sunny Hostin drew a connection between Trump’s approach and the conservative policy blueprint known as “Project 2025.”
“This is the government, President Trump, trying to militarize our states across the country. And you need only look at Project 2025,” Hostin said. “This is the plan.”
The legal expert noted that she had read all 900 pages of the document, prompting Behar to ask, “You read all 900 pages?”
Hostin responded, “Yes I did. I’m that much of a legal nerd.”
“I actually think that people should read it because it is right there on page 555. That was part of the plan to militarize our troops, our National Guard, against our states,” she continued.
Fellow co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin also commented on the president’s strategy, but expressed disagreement with how the administration is implementing it.
“It’s not the way to address the problem if it even is as significant as it is,” Griffin said. “There is crime in American cities, but the way to deal with it is [to] get the funding that you need for police, get the training that you need, and work with local officials.”
