It’s been over a year since Josh Duggar was convicted of receiving and possessing child pornography.
The disgraced former reality star was sentenced to 151 months in prison, and she won’t be eligible for parole until 2032.
That means that for decades to come, the Seagoville Federal Correctional Institution near Dallas will be Josh’s home.
The facility was singled out by the Bureau of Prisons because of its prominent treatment program for sex offenders — but if new reports are to be believed, Seagoville may be missing out on another important area.

In the past year, at least two inmates have filed lawsuits against Seagoville, alleging that they experienced unsafe living conditions during their time in prison.
Now an anonymous family member of a Seagoville inmate is speaking out against the prison and alleging that inmates are forced to contend with filth, infestation, and expired food.
“The food we get regularly expires. They’re like really disgustingly expired, always by at least a few weeks. And like milk. All such things cannot expire for a long time,” said the accuser.

“They have cereal with bugs in it, so people can’t eat the cereal because it’s full of bugs.”
The insider went on to say that the prison “often ran out of food.”
The family said that on more than one occasion, the facility has run out of food, and inmates have been forced to leave for days at a time.

“It’s only like one or two days, but the portions are also quite small, if you can’t buy food at the commission, you will starve,” the source told the British tabloid. Sun.
The family member also said the prison was “overcrowded”.
“All the beds are touching each other and there are bunk beds. Small, dirty,” he explained.

But worst of all, according to this disgruntled loved one, the inmates’ living conditions were constantly filthy.
“They have cleaning supplies for the cells, they like to mop and keep it clean, but they have to share the water in all the dormitories so it becomes disgusting when someone uses it. It’s dirty,” said the source.
“There are mushrooms all over the bed. It’s amazing.”

The family also said the facility had substandard plumbing that added to the poor condition.
“There was a national lockdown last year because of a fight in another Texas prison,” the family member said.
“When the plumbing was so bad, people were literally sh-tting in the corners of the hallways because they couldn’t go to the bathroom,” he explained.

“When a member of my family takes a shower, often the shower water that is dirty like the shower above him will go down on him. Sometimes there is hot water, but other times it is not.
Relatives added that poor maintenance standards extend to the facility’s heating and electrical infrastructure, which is also not maintained.
“They don’t have electricity or heat for days, even though it’s cold in Texas. They don’t have hot water for days,” the source said.

“They’ve gone through six generators in the last six weeks because they keep burning instead of just fixing the electricity.”
Unsurprisingly, Seagoville administrators have yet to respond to the allegations.
As for Josh, he will be back in court next month, as he tries to appeal his sentence.
The odds are definitely stacked against him, but hey, at least Josh will be in a suit and out of Seagoville in a few hours!
