BOCAUE – Don’t be surprised if you see Jordan star Dar Tucker playing for a PBA team in the future.
The 34-year-old guard spoke on national television Monday night shortly after Jordan’s 91-90 rout of Gilas Pilipinas in the Fiba World Cup Asian Qualifiers at the Philippine Arena here.
“Anybody, coach, or team want to take me?” the naturalized player said. “It’s a great atmosphere. I love playing here.”
Tucker had 22 points, 12 rebounds and two assists in a victory that denied the Philippines a two-point lead in the final window.
He was also seen goofing around with fans during lulls.
“I like it. From the moment we got here, the Filipino people, they showed us so much love,” Tucker said of the warm welcome from the home fans.
Tucker can actually play in the PBA considering the size threshold of the pro league. At 6-foot-4, the spitfire guard is also within reach of the Governor’s Cup.
“I like to please the fans because you don’t know who is out there, people who have never seen me. And I want to make a good impression and every time I leave, they will remember me,” he said.
