Lately there has been a lot of talk about the new DNA test JonBenét Ramsey murder investigation, using the latest technology to heat the infamous cold case. But the police may not use the DNA results they already have!
last friday, Fox News Digital It was revealed that DNA tests in 1997 showed that material found on the 6-year-old’s fingernails and on his clothes did not match his parents, John and Patsy Ramsey. The test results were found by the author John W. Anderson as part of the research for an upcoming book about the late investigator Lou Smith, Lou and JonBenet: Legendary Lawman’s Quest to Solve the Murder of a Child Beauty Queen.
According to the author, the test results were given to one of the detectives on the case just three weeks after the crime. It should have been enough to – if not free the old man – at least turn the magnifying glass on him. correct? But those of us who have been following this case all year know Batu District Police no longer the focus of the investigation. The old man was investigated for the whole life of the case – he was “under the umbrella of suspicion” for years, as the investigators put it.

According to the author, that may be because the detective who received the DNA results failed to share it with the prosecutor month after! WTF?! Should he have been thrown out sooner?
Naturally, Boulder PD did not have the most satisfactory response to this revelation, putting up a thin blue line as usual. Public information officer Dionne Waugh said in a statement:
“We know that many articles and books have been written about this tragic murder. We have not read this latest book which, apparently, contains allegations from the late 1990s.
You don’t have to read a book to answer certain accusations! Sheesh. He added his usual rap about how Boulder PD is working so hard to bring this to life, 26 years later:
“Currently, this active investigation continues to receive assistance from federal, state, and local partners. Boulder Police are working with multiple agencies, including the FBI, the District Attorney’s Office, the Colorado Department of Public Safety, the Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI), and several DNA laboratories private throughout the country.
John and Patsy were not cleared of wrongdoing until 2008, when the District Attorney’s office finally conducted an internal review of the facts. It was too late for Patsy, who died of ovarian cancer in 2006.
As for John, the 79-year-old has spoken out against the way Boulder PD handled his daughter’s case. He said in a December interview with Sun:
“The Public Prosecutor told me [Boulder PD’s] The whole strategy to solve this case was proposed to them by psychologists or the FBI – I’m not sure which one, but I heard both. And they were told to bring this intense pressure, ‘We know it’s the old man, we don’t know which one because they’re both at home.’”
What he says next seems to be true about the money this new revelation provides:
“They were told: ‘Forget about the unknown male DNA, which is not important in this case,’ and then used the media to increase that pressure on us. They released a lot of confusing information [to the press] and withholding the DNA matter, he didn’t tell the DA’s office about it for months.
wow! They have been talking about this for a long time! And no one listens. He complained about how the police made him look worse in the media, not telling him about his DNA, obviously. Not only to protect the investigation, but to maintain the bullying strategy:
“So, the media piled on … ‘How upset would dad be if he did that? He’s got to be a real bad guy, and that’s the police strategy. They think one of us is going to confess and say, ‘Well, Patsy, he did it, enough of this madness’ or vice versa. There is a strategy. The whole case against us is ‘we didn’t do the right thing’ that morning.
The case was certainly not based on DNA evidence. shit.
