Jinger Duggar has been in the news this week, and for good reason.
The mother of two has been making the media rounds to promote her new memoir, and for once, Duggar has been completely honest about some of the family’s biggest scandals.
We already know that Jinger hasn’t spoken to Josh Duggar in two years, and she has never forgiven her oldest sibling.
Now, we learn about Jinger’s reaction to the news that Josh’s arrest on child pornography charges led to the end of his carefully built media empire.

According to a quote published today by a British tabloid SunJinger was heartbroken when she received the news that TLC had ended their relationship with the Duggars.
“We got the call on June 26, 2021, that TLC is canceling Counting On,” he wrote.
“When the call ended, I hugged Jeremy and cried. Hard. So many emotions came out of me that day.

For Jinger, it must have been like the world because she knew it was over.
She has appeared on the TLC reality show since childhood, and back then, Calculate is his main source of income – if not his only.
Among fans there is a feeling that she and Jeremy are having the best of both worlds, as they have moved away from their families (and all the drama) but are still able to appear on the show that made the Duggars famous.

However, in her memoir, Jinger revealed that she and Jeremy had been considering leaving the show for some time.
“For over a year, Jeremy and I felt it was time to step back — not only for ourselves but for our children, Felicity and Evangeline,” Jinger wrote.
The 29-year-old added that she was scarred by her own experience growing up in front of the camera, and she did not think it was “fair” for her to subject her daughter to the same experience.

“We want to raise him from the public spotlight. At his age, he cannot choose to be part of a television show. We do not think it is fair to make that choice for him,” he wrote.
“For all the great experiences I’ve had on the show, there have also been difficult parts that I couldn’t have imagined as a 10-year-old.”
In the end, of course, Jinger and Jeremy’s decision was made for them, as TLC executives pulled the plug. Calculate shortly after Josh’s arrest.

Today, Jinger and Jeremy are still in the public eye, but on their own terms.
The couple have published a children’s book and launched their own coffee shop, and Jinger’s memoir is set to launch a new phase in her career.
So in the end, it looks like Jinger and Jeremy got the best of both worlds.
