Jim Jordan’s Gassy Attempt At A Word Game Brutally Backfires On Twitter

Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) tried to capitalize on the latest right-wing panic with a post about God, guns and gas stoves.

This is a reference to reports in the conservative media that gas stoves will be banned.

He didn’t, but Richard Trumka Jr. did. – a member of the US Consumer Product Safety Commission – noted that the stove emits harmful pollutants, and told Bloomberg that the ban could be imposed if it cannot be made safer.

“Any option is on the table,” he said.

He went on to clarify that the ban, if it happened, would only apply to new stoves – no one would take old ones.

But that didn’t stop the story from dominating the right-wing media these days, and Jordan was happy to play it up with this tweet:

Twitter users threw dictionaries at him.

Some answered with three words of their own. More than a few made reference to Jordan’s history as an assistant wrestling coach at Ohio State University, which has been accused of ignoring molestation claims about the team doctor.

Still others just make jokes at Jordan’s expense:
