“I don’t know if the truth has come out of his mouth since [my wife Kortnie O’Connor] and I’ve been together,” Edmonds, 52, said during the Wednesday, January 18, episode of the “Hollywood Raw” podcast. “I can give you a list of all, if not all three years, outright lies.”
Former MLB star and his wife Courtney O’Connor – who they married in September 2022 – then told their story about some of the accusations made by the host of the “Intimate Knowledge” podcast, 38 years old. including Edmonds remarrying on her birthday.
“It’s just a little jab like that. It’s been going on for three years, and it’s really annoying,” he said, adding that he didn’t find out the rumors existed until “two or three weeks later” after he got home from his wedding in Italy.
Edmonds also addressed the Missouri resident’s temporary protective order against him, calling the allegations “false.”
O’Connor added, “It was never given to us. Nobody came here. … We don’t know.”
Edmonds and King married in 2015 and split four years later amid rumors that the California native was unfaithful. He denied the claims of cheating at the time, telling Us Weekly“I’m sorry, I’m tired of being in court. I engaged in inappropriate conversations with this person. At no time was there any relationship or physical contact. Absolutely none.”
On Wednesday’s podcast, Edmonds again shut down rumors of an extramarital affair, calling it “shameful” and “an absolute joke.”
Before the split, the former St. Louis Cardinals and the Bravo star welcomed 6-year-old daughter Aspen and 4-year-old twin sons Hayes and Hart, who had previously been diagnosed with the disease. periventricular leukomalacia. (Edmonds also has a son, Landon, and a daughter, Sutton, with his ex Allison Jayne Raski and daughters Hayley and Lauren with his first wife, Lee Ann Horton, who died in 2015 after a battle with brain cancer.)
In October 2020, King announced that Hart had also been diagnosed cerebral palsy.
“Even though he’s the same kid, I was hoping he’d hit me. But he didn’t,” he wrote in a blog post at the time. “It didn’t hit me too hard. In fact, I feel relieved. … This is the first terrible diagnosis I know comes from the fateful day I googled the right thing and it hit me like a truck: CP. I knew it was CP since Hart was there for a few months. I just know.”
King later wrote that CP was defined as “cerebral palsy,” calling it “a very misleading and ridiculous designation.”
However, on Thursday, Edmonds said that while Hart has periventricular leukomalacia, he has never been formally diagnosed with cerebral palsy.
“I was like, okay, then tell the truth. Don’t tell me sad stories. Just go ahead,” he said.
Edmonds, who shared that she and King are now coparenting through a nanny, also took issue with her ex-husband’s dating life – the TV personality dated. Trevor Colhoun, Bachelor alum Mike Johnson, Will Roos and was briefly married to President Joe Bidenhis nephew Cuffe Owens – claimed that his “poor children” would grow up “thinking of every wicked man.”
When asked if he saw “a path to peace with him anytime soon,” the former Chicago Cub player replied, “Not long ago he said.”
