The most dramatic host? Not if Jesse Palmer have nothing to say about it.
Palmer, 44, address Chris Harrisonnew comment that Wells Adams should have performed for the first time during an exclusive interview with Us Weekly.
“[I have] no reaction, really. I mean, he’s as entitled to his own opinion as everybody is,” the former NFL quarterback said us. “I am very pleased with Chris and wish him the best in his next endeavours.”
ABC ended its relationship with Harrison, 51, in 2021 after a clear defense fromScholar front Rachel Kirkconnell, who was under fire for resurfaced photos from an Old South-themed party she attended in college. The former host kept quiet about the controversy on his podcast, “The Scariest Podcast,” last month and revealed he was surprised by his replacement.
“Wells has always been a wonderful person and a good friend of mine. Wells is in a very difficult situation because obviously he’s still involved with the show and he’s doing that heaven, but he was one of the first to come to me and just say, ‘Look, I’m staying out of this. I love you and respect you.’ … I think, honestly, that Wells is going to get the job,” Harrison said. “I even told him, I said, ‘Hey, man, I’m not going to say it in public because I don’t think it’s going to help you. In fact, it’s going to do more harm than good. But I really hope you get it. job. I think you’ll be great at it.'”
Network named Palmer – season 5 Bachelor – host ahead of Clayton Echardseason ‘s 26. He has since helmed season 8 of Bachelor in Paradise and Gabby Windy and Rachel Recchiaseason 19 of The Bachelorette.
“I think authenticity, obviously, is very important,” Palmer said us about what he learned before entering Zach Shallcross’ season. “I think everyone is a little bit unique and different with their personality and what they’re looking for. I think for Zach, the biggest advice from what I’ve seen from him – and my personal experience as well – is to be true to yourself. And I know this sounds super cliche.
Palmer notes that “being a Bachelor is something you can’t prepare for” — and that pressure is hard to avoid.
“It’s really not going into that role and wondering, ‘How can I be the perfect bachelor? What can I say that will make this woman fall in love with me and what can I say that will make millions of people in Bachelor Nation at home watching? love me too?’ But I think once you start doing it, you forget yourself and it becomes inauthentic,” he said. “And there’s that way for women at home and men at home. So, I would say that one of the things that I’m most proud of for Zach on this journey is that he’s really stayed true to himself. And he’s not trying to be someone he’s not. .
