Ben SeewaldThe wife is understandably very emotional about the terrible ordeal in the new upload on Friday night. She used the video to share how she told the couple’s children about the new baby in the first place. Then, during the holidays at the end of last year, how it all came together with the consequences of a sad pregnancy loss.

According to Jessa, she began to worry about potential health complications during pregnancy. He had “typed” blood at different times, he recalled. But as the stress builds, her family tries to cheer her up and cheer her up until her next doctor’s appointment.

Unfortunately, as touching as the efforts were, they could not overcome the sadness that consumed her when she learned of the miscarriage. At the next ultrasound appointment, the doctor told Jessa that the baby “doesn’t look good.” In a new vid, he recalls what happened next:

“Nothing could have prepared me for the weight of those words at that moment. I was so shocked at that moment. I had no words. I immediately cried.”

Oh, no.

Ben was by her side, and the two began to comfort each other. The technician and doctor left the room to allow the couple privacy to “process through the loss” together. Jessa recalls:

“We just sat there holding hands and crying, like, ‘What do we do from here.’ I feel like in some ways miscarriages can be jarring because you don’t have any obvious signs that something is wrong.I had minimal spotting for 24 hours, and that was it.

From there, doctors recommend that a specialist perform a dilation and curettage procedure to safely remove the baby from the womb. Jessa agrees with that assessment, and chooses to check into the hospital to get things done.

In the moments before the medical procedure, the reality TV alum recalled seeking God’s grace and love for strength through the ordeal:

“I was able to thank God at that moment for giving me this life, even though we couldn’t hold this baby in our arms.”

The procedure went well, and Jessa thankfully suffered no physical complications from it.

However, the emotional toll of the whole experience began to weigh heavily at that moment. With her voice breaking on camera as she retold the story, the Duggar daughter revealed how difficult it was to be alone with her thoughts:

“Ten to fifteen minutes before I was brought back to the room where Ben and my mom were waiting, it was probably the hardest thing in my life, just sitting there feeling alone.”

So sad…

At the end of the video, Jessa admits that she is going to “take a break” from social media for a while and focus on her family, as well as her personal emotional and mental recovery from a difficult time. We totally understand.

As the consequences of the terrible events continue to play out, we hope for Jessa and Ben – and their children Spurgeon7, Henry6, Ivy3, and fern18 months – can find comfort and solace in each other.
