Jessa Duggar just welcomed her fourth child in 2021.
Most mothers in her position would consider retiring their uterus, or at least wait a long time before exiting another one.
But Jessa is a Duggar, which means she was raised to believe that procreation was her main reason.
So it’s no surprise that fans are convinced that Jessa is currently pregnant with her fifth baby!
To be clear, Jessa has yet to make an announcement to that effect.
However, some fans are sure that they are secretly looking forward to it.
The main reason for the speculation is that Jessa hasn’t posted a new photo on her Instagram page since November.
Well, this would be a long time off from social media under any circumstances, but it’s especially suspicious in this case, since Jessa hasn’t been posting all holiday season.
On Reddit and elsewhere, Jessa’s followers noted her absence, and many concluded that there were only a few possible explanations.
“Jessa continues to be absent from social media – Last post was November 21st. She missed Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years. Is she just taking a break?” one person asked, according to a UK tabloid Sun.
“I wonder if she’s pregnant. I feel like the last time she was MIA was when she miscarried after (?) Ivy? There was a whole bee themed photo shoot that she never posted,” another speculated.
“I think she is pregnant as others have said. I hope she will announce soon, I want to know what name she will do this time,” said a third person.
That seems to be the consensus theory, but some people still don’t buy it.
“Not disagreeing with you, but I don’t understand why pregnancy would be a reason to stop posting,” one person commented.
“Why miss out on sponsorship opportunities and so on for months just to maintain a fifth pregnancy?”
“Maybe she’s pregnant, but maybe she and Ben are having marital problems especially from Jinger’s book. Also, Ben’s church has said something about her on social media,” another person said.
Yes, Jessa and her husband Ben Seewald may be at the center of a strange controversy thanks to Jinger Duggar’s memoir, which will be released later this month.
In the book, Jinger details the spiritual awakening she experienced after attending a service at Ben’s church.
The experience led him in a new direction that led to some theological disagreements with Jinger’s notoriously fundamentalist parents.
So, it’s possible that Jessa is trolling the internet just because she doesn’t want to answer the tough questions on Jinger’s release date.
Of course, the Duggar women also haven’t announced their pregnancies in the years since Josh Duggar’s sex scandal.
No one is sure what the new family policy is, but maybe Jessa is keeping her cool enough to keep up with it.
Regardless, fans will surely continue to speculate about Jessa’s social media absence until the time she makes her long-awaited comeback!
