Jenelle Evans has taken a lot of criticism from the public over the years.
Drug use, alcoholism, fanaticism, animal abuse, narcissism, pettiness, pathological dishonesty – you name bad behavior, and Jenelle has waded into scandalous degrees.
But the harshest criticism against his formr Teenage Mother 2 star has centered around her care of her children.
Many still can’t get over the fact that Jenelle testified in court that her husband abuses her children, but she later retracted that testimony and moved back with the alleged abuser – her children in tow, of course.
It’s possible that Jenelle lied to the court, but sadly, the more common explanation is that she was willing to destroy her children.
Regardless, allegations of abuse and neglect have hounded Jenelle and David for years.
The couple briefly lost custody of their children after the CPS investigation, but now, most of Jenelle and David’s children are back under the roof.
(Evans and Eason both have sons from previous relationships that they still don’t have custody of.)
Understandably, Jenelle’s Instagram and TikTok followers are always on the alert for signs of mistreatment, and they are quick to call Jenelle out at the slightest provocation.
In recent months, some commentators have pointed out that Jenelle seems to spend more time with her daughter, Ensley than with other children.
And some have developed theories as to why it works.
“He’s only good with Ensley because he’s David’s boy, he doesn’t care about Jace or Kaiser,” one follower recently wrote.
Jenelle was apparently outraged by the comment – so she decided to make a TikTok video based on it.
But as usual for Jenelle, she didn’t really engage with the criticism in a substantive way, and she just shrugged off the comments as if they didn’t bother her.
(Of course, if he wasn’t bothered by the comment, he would have ignored it.
In the clip above, Jenelle borrows audio from an episode of The Kardashianswhere Kourtney can be heard:
“I just don’t have the energy for this. I’m unsubscribing from this drama.”
This latest controversy arose out of allegations that Jenelle openly chose Ensley over the other children in an alarming way.
During the summer, commentators even said that Evans forgot about his son Kaiser’s birthday.
Kaiser is the son of Jenelle’s ex-fiancé, Nathan Griffith, and observers have accused Evans and Eason of abusing the boy because he disliked his father.
Jenelle has yet to respond to the allegations.
But if he does, his rebuttal might be a lip-synced TikTok video.
