MANILA, Philippines–Jason Brickman formally submitted his name in the PBA Rookie Draft where he is expected to be among the top picks in the proceedings set Sept. 7 at SM Mall of Asia Music Hall.
His agent Marvin Espiritu submitted Brickman’s application on Tuesday at the PBA Office in Libis, giving the Draft a high-profile name with three days before the deadline.

The 33-year-old guard had earlier expressed his desire to join the Draft after several years playing overseas.
Brickman played for the Malaysia Dragons, Thailand’s Mono Vampire and Alab Pilipinas in the defunct Asean Basketball League before suiting up for the Kaohsiung Aquas of Taiwan’s T1 League.
His recent stints were with the Abra Weavers of the MPBL and Strong Group Athletics during its successful defense of the William Jones Cup crown in Taiwan.

He was supposed to join the 2021 Draft, but was listed as ineligible after failing to submit necessary requirements for applicants considered as Fil-foreigners.
But the PBA has since changed its rule that requires Fil-foreigners to only present a Philippine passport.
Born in San Antonio, Texas, to an American father and a Filipina who hails from Pangasinan, Brickman is one of only four players in US NCAA history to dish out 1,000 career assists during his time with LIU Brooklyn from 2010 to 2014.
