On Wednesday, Janelle Brown shared a sweet photo on her Instagram page of what she shares with her four children.
“Dinner with the boys and girl Hunter Audrey,” the reality star wrote as a caption. “A pleasant evening and a bright place during the day. The food is delicious in [1899 Bar and Grill].”
Janelle, of course, separated from her spiritual partner Kody at the end of 2022.
She received nothing but support from her children in the days, weeks and months since.
And for him? Janelle has clearly made up her mind again.
“Janelle is a strong independent woman who realizes she can do it on her own,” a source told In Touch at the time, a few weeks ago, confirming that Janelle is “over” Kody after nearly 30 years of marriage.
Things went downhill for Janelle and Kody over a year ago… during which time Kody requested extremely strict protocols related to COVID-19.
This created tension between Kody and his sons Garrison, 24, and Gabriel, 21.
Because she’s not a very nice person, the polygamist said in last season’s episode of Sister Wives that it was Janelle who was to blame for her broken relationship with these kids.
“I sometimes think that Janelle has been against me with the boys or never supported me with the boys,” Kody said on air. “Man, I have the hardest time not feeling like she just betrayed me.”
However, Kody, who some time ago forbade his son to see his friends or his girlfriend, ordered them to stay at home due to the pandemic.
“I know these two need a social life,” he said.
“I understand completely. But in this case, COVID is different.
“It changes everything for everyone, and they want everything to be the same.”
Amid ongoing tensions, Garrison opted out of his family’s property in 2021 when he purchased a $329,000, four-bedroom, two-bathroom Arizona home.
During a December 2022 episode of Sister Wives — which was filmed in October 2021 — Kody reached out to Gabe after he and Robyn Brown contracted COVID-19.
When Kody asked his son about his symptoms when he contracted the same virus earlier that year … he failed to admit that it was also Gabe’s birthday.
And the snub stung. Time is important.
“I didn’t remind him it was my birthday because I wanted to see if he remembered,” Gabe said during his confessional.
“And no. So, for him, it was just a call to ask about COVID.
When is the end?
“It’s worse than just a phone call to me,” Gabe added. “That was the last time I spoke to my father.”
