At Board of Joint Admissions and Matriculation (JAMB) has postponed the 2023 Direct Entry (DE) registration exercise until further notice.
Registration that started on Monday, February 20, has been suspended since Tuesday, February 21, according to a statement issued by the examining body.
The statement, signed by JAMB’s Head of Public Affairs and Protocol, Fabian Benjamin, noted that “the postponement is to enable the deployment of certain measures, designed to better serve candidates”.
The examining body initially closed registrations until Thursday, April 20, but said a new process would be announced soon.
New date
The board further stated in a statement that the new registration procedure will include “the uploading of JAMB Admission Letter in the case of OND and NCE, the admission letter issued by the university in the case of university diploma, and the admission letter issued by the A level’. examination bodies (IJMBE, JUPEB , etc.).
He noted that the new date will be announced in due course so that candidates can proceed to JAMB offices nationwide to register, and only JAMB offices are approved to register candidates for direct entry.

The board also extended the 2023 Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) registration exercise by one week from February 15.
Mr. Benjamin said that in addition, the ePIN sale will end on Monday, February 20, while UTME registration will end on Wednesday, February 22.

Mr. Benjamin said the council, then granted an extension to ensure that all candidates who wish to register for the 2023 UTME are allowed to do so “especially if the remaining challenges are not of their own making.”
