The artist later attracted the attention of Nigerian-born Ghanaian musician, Mr. Eazi and many other great artists like Jamaican international popcaan dancehall singer.
Speaking about his progress so far in an interview with YFM, J Derobie revealed that he and Popcaan are currently working on a new single.
Although he failed to provide further details, Derobie said;
“My dream collaboration is to be able to work again with Popcaan and now it is running. It will happen, I believe in God so that when I speak I speak with faith”. said.
J Derobie is a fast rising Ghanaian dancehall artist who idolizes afro-beat star Mr. Eazi and wants to be like him in the future.
J Derobie is among the few selected for a project launched by Mr. Eazi named the EMPAWA 100 project and promises to make music videos for 100 artists to be selected. The song “Poverty” was a breakthrough. According to him, he started writing the song in June 2018 and could not decide on a suitable title for it until he was poor because many people complained about it. Before ‘Poverty’, he had released ‘Awuradee’, ‘Vim’, and ‘Odo Yewu’.
