The story in Westminster today and certainly tomorrow will be Boris Johnson’s appearance before the Commomns Privileges committee which is looking into whether he has broken key rules.

This morning his defense has been published and it depends on him that no one tells him that some of his actions are wrong and against the law.

Is this going to wash with MP? Of course it will be argued that someone who has reached the position of Prime Minister should make some decisions for himself and should be locked in if what he does is wrong.

Unfortunately, there is currently no specific betting market that I can see what will happen, but it may pop up in the next few days.

This is a 49% chance on the Smarkets exchange that there will be an election in Uxbridge and South Ruislip before the next general election.
