Is Dorries having second thoughts? – politicalbetting.com

The FT reported that Dorries could delay his resignation by suggesting that he will try to cause maximum problems for Sunak. Of course, it would be easier for the Tories if everything was held on the same day and the bad news for Sunak is only a few days away.

By delaying his exit, Dorriest could ensure two weekends of bad headlines for the PM.

I just wonder if she might have decided not to continue with her plan which is all predicated on her being elevated to a peerage. We now know that if he is blocked then he will cease to be a lawmaker without a Commons seat or one in the Lords.

A by-election to replace the other two who resigned as MPs is likely to be held next month. My guess is that if he hadn’t joined them there was a chance that this wouldn’t have happened. There must be a reason why he had to delay.
