A happy ending! Idina Menzel and your husband Aaron Lohr they were costars for more than a decade before they exchanged wedding vows.
The two actors met filming the 2005 film adaptation of the musical rent. That same year, they both appeared in off-Broadway musicals See What I Want to See. When their paths first crossed, Menzel was still married to his ex-husband, Taye Diggswith her they have a son Walker, born in 2009.
The coparents separated in 2013 after 10 years of marriage and finalized their divorce the following year. After the split, the frozen star said she was “open” to dating again but cited her busy schedule as an obstacle.
“I just don’t have a lot of time,” she said Red book for its December 2014 issue, during his stint in the Broadway musical If / Then. “She had to meet me at, like, midnight after the show, and that was kind of slutty, wasn’t it?”

Although Menzel and Lohr generally keep their relationship out of the spotlight, the Gem Uncut the actress shared her engagement news in September 2016 via Twitter while promoting her album titled, Permission.
“What an amazing week. Thanks to everyone for all the support with the album,” he wrote at the time. “As if this week couldn’t get any better, I have great news… my husband and I are engaged! We are so happy. It’s such a great time.
A year later, the lovebirds secretly tied the knot in an intimate backyard ceremony. “Just wanted to let you know…married the love of my life #aaronlohr this weekend @ our house,” Evil stars tweeted a few days after the nuptials. “Father and son led me down [the] way. It’s magical.”
Menzel shared a few snaps from the special day in subsequent tweets. “Thank you to everyone who helped make my wedding day so special,” she wrote next to a photo of her and him Newsies actor.
Two years later, the Enchanted The actress is still gushing about her husband. In the November 2019 premiere of Frozen II, he told Access Hollywood if he could freeze any era of his life, he would choose now. “I remarried the man of my dreams,” she said.
