family of 3! Ice-T and Coco Austin has shared many sweet moments with his daughter, Chanel, over the years.
The couple, who married in 2002, expanded their family when they received Chanel in 2015. Law & Order: SVU The actor is also the father of two older children from a previous relationship. They share Letesha – who was born in 1976 – with high school sweethearts Adrienne and Tracy Jr. – who was born in 1991 – with Darlene Ortiz.
Before Ice-T and Austin had their little one, the model faced obstacles trying to be a mother. In a 2012 episode of the duo’s reality show Ice Loves Coco, the California native learned she had high blood pressure, which added a risk factor to trying to conceive a child. After taking time to focus on her health, Austin announced that she is expecting.
“I am very happy because of all the baby wishes that Ice & I have received all over the world,” the designer said tweeted in July 2015. “I thank you from the bottom of my heart and soul.”
Four months later, the couple welcomed a baby girl and Ice-T shared the happy news on his podcast, “Ice T: Final Level.”
“We are just proud parents and [nowadays] you can put everything on the net for everyone to see. We’ve had all these responses, even if there’s hate, 99.99 percent it’s not just love,” the rapper said in November 2015.
Since welcoming Chanel, Ice-T and Austin have been documenting their little one’s most precious moments on their social media pages. In July 2021, one of Chanel’s photos made headlines because of her striking resemblance to her father – and the dancer opened up exclusively Us Weekly about that.
“It’s weird because I post a lot of pictures and it kind of goes viral,” Austin said us in time. “It’s strange for me. He looked like his father from day one. [She was] came out of the womb looking like him. And now [people] Is it only noticed after five years? Like, that’s really weird for me.
While Chanel may look like her father, the actress added that her daughter takes after her mother when it comes to her personality.
“He got on stage and he was rocking [like Ice-T]but then she, like, has a modeling side as well,” she said us. “He has a lot of personality. He tries to act like me. I don’t let him do all the poses. … We like just the cutesy ones.”
