Ibrahim Tanko urges focus as Medeama target decisive home win over Heart of Lions

Head coach Ibrahim Tanko has called for maximum focus from his Medeama SC side as they prepare for a crucial home fixture against Heart of Lions in the Ghana Premier League.

The Tarkwa-based club, currently leading the standings with 59 points, are on the brink of league glory with only two matches remaining. A positive result on Sunday at the TNA Park could significantly strengthen their grip on the title.

Tanko stressed the importance of preparation and composure, insisting his side must build on their previous success against the same opponent.

“Heart of Lions is one of the teams that are very, very tough. But like I said, we faced them at their home and beat them 1-0.

“So, we have to prepare very well so that we can keep the points here.”

Medeama head into the fixture in solid form, with three wins in their last five matches, while Heart of Lions sit 11th with 42 points but have shown resilience in recent outings.
