The management of the Polytechnic, Ibadan has lifted the suspension before being placed under the Institution’s Students Union Government.
This was contained in a statement issued by the Registrar of the institution, Mrs Modupe Fawale, in Ibadan on Monday.
Fawale said the reversal of the suspension order was earlier placed on the union based on the intervention to allow for further consultation.
“The leader has decided not to use the big stick against the students, because he also brandishes his sword.
“The management will hold a meeting with the student leaders to address their grievances,” he said.
However, the committee stated that the first semester examination, which was scheduled to begin on January 9, remains postponed.
“The new date for the commencement of the examination will be announced to the students through appropriate channels,” he said.
