President Nana Akufo-Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has refused to fire Ofori-Atta, despite pressure from NPP MPs in October 2022 to fire the Minister of Finance for mismanaging the economy.
During the meeting with the members of parliament, the President negotiated with them to give them some time to fulfill their demands.
In the latest ministerial reshuffle, Nana Addo failed to touch Ofori-Atta who is under immense pressure from sections of Ghana and parliament.
Lawmakers have called for the sacking of Ofori-Atta for his poor management of the economy.
Speaking on GTV on Monday, February 13, 2023, Dr. Konadu declares that he will show Ofori-Atta the exit if he is the leader of affairs.
“If I am the President [Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo]I will listen to the MP and sack Ofori-Atta.
“In politics, you have to be sensitive to public opinion, sometimes, it may not be right, but the sentiment, and the sentiment of the people should be studied, and acted upon if possible. The deal for NPP MPs to come out there to say that they do not want the Minister of Finance, The Minister of Finance himself who has worked with us before,” said Dr. I’m sorry.
He added: “In a democracy, we must be sensitive to the people. Lack of action adds to the problem, so you eliminate and reduce the losses and I will eliminate the losses and say that you are enough, the environment. Enmity with you so go, I will definitely replace him. ”
