Fred Nuamah spoke on UTV’s United Showbiz, Saturday, March 18, 2023, about his decision to contest the Ayawaso West parliamentary seat on the NDC ticket against John Dumelo has damaged his friendship.
Last week, John Dumelo said he was no longer friends with Fred while denying earlier reports that he had given Fred his blessing for the contest.
Fred interestingly insists that John is not his friend, but his brother and that he will not let politics end his friendship.
“John is not my friend, he is my brother and I will not allow politics to come between us and I will not allow politics to destroy our brotherhood,” he said.
“Unless John is a brother to me, the NDC is one of the parties, so the controversy between John and me, will be resolved at home and you know, the issue may have been resolved,” he said.
He explained that his decision to contest the NDC parliamentary seat against his brother was only informed by a phone call from a party loyalist and Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency constituency.
Fred Nuamah is a film director and producer best known for his role in the movie The Game.
He is also the founder and CEO of the Ghana Movie Awards and the Ghana TV Series Awards, annual award shows that recognize excellence in the film industry.
