I Want Ex-Wife Christine to Find ‘Her Soulmate’

Taking the high road? sister’s wife Kody Brown claimed he was rooting for his ex-husband Christine Brown to find them happily ever after in 2021.

“One of the kids said to me, ‘Dad, mommy said you have a soulmate and she wants her,'” Kody, 53, said during part 3 of Wives: One by oneshows Christine’s perception of her relationship with her fourth wife Robyn Brown.

Wyoming native revealed during January 8, episode that he wants the same for Christine, 50. “I hope he found his soulmate,” he added.

Kody and Christine announced their separation in November 2021 after more than 25 years together. The exes, who considered themselves divorced because they had never been legally married, were spiritually married in 1993.

At that time, the Cooking With Just Christine star became Kody’s third wife. They are legally married Meri Brown and in spiritual union with Janelle Brown. Robyn, 43, joined the family in 2010. Four years later, the patriarch divorced Meri, 51, and legally married Robyn and adopted three children from a previous relationship. (Kody and Robyn have two children: Solomon11, and Ariella6.)

Last month, Janelle confirmed that she and Kody had “separated for a few months” after nearly 30 years together. Jealousy, for his part, was revealed during part 1 of Wives: One by one that Kody made a “decision” that he was no longer married.

When it comes to his future with all of his wives, Kody explained on Sunday’s episode that aside from Robyn, he’s focused on mending fences with Janelle, 53.

“I hope I can find a place where I’m happy and good with Janelle and I hope all my kids and I can get along,” he said. “Here’s hoping.”

Christine, meanwhile, comments on the possibility that Kody can continue with the polygamous lifestyle after having three failed romances.

“It’s very unfair that I feel like Kody and plural marriage. It’s very unfair for Meri and Janelle, but I feel like they don’t have the capacity for plural marriage,” she admitted. “I even said to Janelle, ‘I’m sorry if I feel that way, but I do.’ I just don’t feel like they have that capacity anymore. If you can’t be exactly like Robyn, I don’t know what you look like.

The Utah native, who shows children Aspin27, Mykelti26, Paedon24, Gwendlyn21, Ysabel19, and Absolutely12, with Kody, notes that Robyn is a former firearms salesman’s “mate” and that the other women can’t compete.

“Kody and I have something special. Honestly we have something special,” Kristine recalled. “But when I needed his help and he wouldn’t give it to me, it clicked. Where I’m like, ‘I’ve done everything for you and you can’t give this to me.’”

He claimed: “Then he and Robyn met and he was everything to her and she was everything to him. They were just this unit together.

Kody says that Christine’s perception of her relationship with Robyn is “a lot of sour grapes,” adding that if he’s “envious” of her dynamic, she could try harder.

“He has to put energy and effort into the relationship for that connection,” he said of his ex-husband. “That’s the benefit of the relationship. Being a giving and loving person.”

Elsewhere in the episode, Kody admits that he’s “on the verge of not even being polygamous” after all the recent drama. “I’m really looking back a lot,” he concluded. “Miss some of the past and regret a lot of it.”
