Medeama head coach Ibrahim Tanko has declared his side ready for the biggest test of their title credentials as they prepare to face league leaders Bibiani Gold Stars in a potential Ghana Premier League title decider.

Speaking ahead of Sunday’s clash at the TNA Stadium in Tarkwa, Tanko acknowledged the magnitude of the fixture but expressed confidence in his team’s readiness.

“Definitely, this is going to be a very different game altogether, but I think we are prepared for it,” Tanko said.

The defending champions Gold Stars sit atop the table with 53 points, just two ahead of second-placed Medeama. A win for the home side would see them leapfrog their rivals and take control of the title race.

Tanko played down the significance of his team’s recent 4-0 thrashing of Asante Kotoko, insisting that result is now in the past. However, he made it clear that his players are fully focused and ready for the challenge that lies ahead.

Medeama will be hoping to bounce back from a disappointing FA Cup semi-final exit to Dreams FC, with key players like Salim Adams returning from national team duty to bolster the squad. Kickoff is set for Sunday at the TNA Stadium.
