I don’t write my songs; Freestyle is my style – Kwame Yogot

Ghanaian Kwame Yogot is out with a new single, I feel fine, very different from his usual rap style. Speaking to Giovani on 3FM Drive about his creative process, Kwame Yogot revealed that he doesn’t write his songs on paper before patching the lyrics in the studio.

According to Kwame Yogot, it takes inspiration from several things, including the beat, vibe and energy, of today.

“I don’t write a lot of my songs. I’m not a good writer. I don’t know what to write if you give me pen and paper. I listen to the beat and get into the vibe.

After being known as a rapper, Kwame Yogot may have entered the singing lane after the recommendation of famous music producer Da’ Hammer.

“I thought I could only sing the chorus but not the whole song. Then Hammer called and said, Charle, your song is strong. But I had to try and sing. So I called the engineer, and we went to the studio.

After recording, Kwame Yogot said he was surprised to be able to create such a good work, as the song got an endorsement from DJ Azonto in the studio before it entered the playlist.
