How Starmer compares with other opposition leaders at this stage – politicalbetting.com

One of the good things about pollster Ipsos is that it has been doing political surveys in the UK since the mid-1970s. In the beginning, it was known simply as MORI but now it is part of the international polling group Ipsos.

It has an amazing library of polls that can make comparisons like the one mentioned above about the various opposition leaders who have done this at this stage of their tenure.

One thing that stands out clearly is that Starmer is not doing as well as Cameron who should be worried about Labour. He is also behind Neil Kinnock who has never won a general election. His predecessor Corbyn has the worst record.

It is assumed that LAB needs a lead in the GB national vote of 7% for a majority. The Tories could do with 3%.

I still believe that the majority of LAB is not as certain as the 54% chance that is currently rated in the betting market.
