There was a rousing welcome for the founder and supervisor of Power Chapel International, Rev. Victor Kusi Boateng, who is under fire to resign as secretary of the Board of Trustees of the National Cathedral.
Sunday services were filled with enthusiasm as the choir led the congregation in praise and worship.
Members of the church who were worried about the many allegations leveled against people of God by the Member of Parliament for North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, where the power to rather pray for people.
When he ascended the podium, Rev. Kusi Boateng has asked members of his church not to worry about the corruption allegations leveled against him over his dealings in the construction of the Ghana National Cathedral.
He assured that he would come through the allegations unscathed.
“You’re happy when you see your dad up there – always happy, Papa’s up there, Papa’s up there. But when you’re up there and you’re fighting up there, some of you cry.
“How can I go up without fighting demons in the air? So, stop all this fighting and all this arguing. The question is, is your father okay? I’m 100 percent okay.
“The question is, is your father happy? I am very happy. The question is, is your father going to go through with this? I promise that I will go through this with honor.
“So, each of you should relax, be happy, and don’t waste your time fighting on Facebook,” he said.
He added that his church members would rather spend their time talking to people about church expansion and spreading the gospel.
The congregation, who were all standing, seemed to be applauding the servant of God when he spoke.
