Honda Manufacturing Nigeria Limited has launched a new motorcycle, the Honda CB Unicorn, into the Nigerian market.
The new product, which was launched on Wednesday at the Radisson Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos, is ready to be “highly reliable for both commercial and personal use”, according to the company.
In his remarks, the Managing Director of Honda Nigeria, Hirohide Ichikawa, said that “the new Honda Unicorn is made with innovative precision technology that is synonymous with the Honda brand, unique and amazing features that make it the best in its class. .”

He noted that the Honda Unicorn was designed to perfection after extensive engagement with business partners in the distribution value chain and private users, adding that the motorcycle is popular in India and the Middle East, where the company recorded sales of more than 150,000 units in a year.
The event was attended by 27 motorcycle dealers from Lagos, Abia, Ogun, Oyo, Adamawa, Bauchi, Kaduna, Adamawa, Taraba and Kano States.

Introducing the new product, the company’s Sales Manager, Olabade Badejo, said that Unicorn motorcycles are popular for “easy service/parts availability, best fuel consumption, high quality and durability assurance, resale value, comfortable seats and production easy”.
He added that the motorcycles targeted at private and corporate customers can be used for letter delivery, food delivery, bank delivery, leisure, travel, travel, church rides, general goods delivery, and good for security patrols. agency.

Mr. Badejo noted that the retail price of the bike is pegged at N1,400,000 and is available in various colors, including imperial red metallic, matte gray metallic, igneous pearl black, and pearl white awesome.

He reiterated that “high quality and efforts for service/parts” are the strong points of the Honda Unicorn which is set for mass distribution from its headquarters in Ota, Ogun State.

The MD noted that the company decided to launch the Honda Unicorn despite the current economic situation in Nigeria.

Speaking about Honda’s activities, Mr. Badejo said that in addition to other products, motorcycle products from the business are used in more than 175 countries.
He said the total production worldwide is expected to reach 440 million units by 2022 and in Nigeria, most of the products are distributed from the factory in Ota, Ogun state.
Other products include generators, engines, water pumps and balconies.
“We have produced motorcycles (of) more than 1 million units since the first production in 1981. A long history of supporting up depends on our products.

Badejo also noted that the company will start safety riding training in April 2023 to improve drivers’ riding skills, increase profits and improve the organization’s safety image.
