Three years after being shut down by the Taal eruption and the COVID-19 pandemic, the Highlands Women’s Cup is set to resume with organizers promising a bigger prize for the banner field that sees action in the Midlands complex layout.

The 18-hole event, held annually until 2019 to raise funds for Tagaytay Highlands Ladies Chapter’s favorite charity, will be played on April 19 on a well-maintained course that has hosted several international and major domestic tournaments in the past.

“We are more prepared for this year’s tournament after three years,” said Dionne Cu, tournament chairman. “Our fellow golfers have been waiting for us to hold a celebratory tournament.”

Registration proceeds with an entry fee of P4,000 for members and P5,000 for non-members, inclusive of green fee, cart sharing, lunch and snacks plus raffle. Tickets available at Highlands and Midlands golf courses and THLC.

Supported by diamond sponsor W Group and supported by Platinum sponsor Parola Maritime Agency, Inc.

The event is usually held at the end of the year, but THLC moved it to an earlier date to coincide with the Tagaytay Ladies team’s 18th birthday celebration.

As in past editions, part of the proceeds will go to THLC’s favorite charity in Silang, Cavite, Boys & Girls Town where school-aged children are prepared for the real world through entrepreneurship-based education.
