This group of players has names such as businessman Gary Vaynerchuk, also known as Gary Vee; Coin Bureau, a media entity that offers crypto education; and Do Kwon, the leader of the fallen Terra project. A motivated voice in the business world, Vaynerchuk made a splash in crypto with his work in the nonfungible token space. Coin Bureau gives viewers a record amount of crypto-related content and news, and of course, Kwon sits on the list as a villain for his part in the collapse of the Terra ecosystem.

Numbers 81 to 90 include some new faces, such as Fluidefi founder Lisa Loud and Immunefi founder Mitchell Amador. When Kwon made the list last year, he dropped from No. 18 to No. 83 on this year’s list. His leadership of the Terra project earned him a position in 2022, while the fallout from the project and its response led him to still be on the list this year – but for a different reason. The impact on the future of the crypto industry will likely diminish in 2023 as the industry continues to move on from the painful collapse of Terra.

Cointelegraph’s Top 100 list includes the biggest heroes and worst villains who most influenced the crypto and blockchain space in 2022, and is expected to continue to do so in 2023. Each Top 100 entry features a bio of an influential figure, a recap of 2022 and a look at what can be expected for 2023, as well as some general data points. This is the fourth year in a row that Cointelegraph has released the Top 100, and for the first time, the community voted as part of the selection process.
