WHO HEATHER TRYING TO PROTECT?! And why are we still playing detective about black eyes? In this episode of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake city, Meredith host a fashion show, Jane pay back some previous debts, and Whitney struggling to figure out a friendship with Heather.
It’s night three in San Diego, and the ladies are still trying to figure out the mystery of Heather’s black eye. Heather, of course, continues to dance around the subject, yet stares at Jen when she says she is “still sure what happened” to her eyes. I bet Heather will wink at Jen if she has two good eyes… Whitney is catching on to this and starts piecing together what Heather is trying to say in code.
Heather didn’t want to talk about her eyes anymore, so Dana jumping because #screentime. Danna explains that she wants to be real with Jen, so she drops the bombshell. Danna explains that she knows the informant for Jen’s case. This particular informant told Danna to be careful around Jen, and because Danna trusted this person, she felt like she had been awkward around Jen all weekend.
Jen screamed that Danna “wanted to bring it, she better bring it to the finish line.” Jen is furious that Danna is discussing legal matters, which may not be coming from a reliable source. Naturally, Jen storms off (because what else is a housewife in that situation), but Danna becomes real with the girls still at the table.
Whitney explains to Danna that everyone dances around Jen to avoid confrontation, especially when it comes to Jen’s case. Meredith can’t believe that Danna would talk about something that “would threaten” Jen’s “freedom” when Danna was just a guest (she likes to throw that zinger out there), and she asks the group for an excuse to comfort Jen with Heather.
Jen tries to interrupt what Danna is saying, and she says that she and Danna think it’s pretty cool. Jen even gave Danna a box of hair dye to help her sister out with all her gray hair. If that’s not friendship, I don’t know what it is… (rolls eyes).
Danna tells the remaining girls at the table that there must be something wrong with Jen because why would the FBI work on this case? Whitney gets thoughtful (scary, I know), and she says that if Jen doesn’t go, she’ll be willing to have a “conjugal” visit with her. LOL, Whitney.
Meanwhile, Jen stews while Meredith and Heather try and calm her down. I’m pretty sure that, in an effort to keep the black eye storyline alive, Heather told Jen that she should tell the girls, “Why don’t we talk about how Heather got that black eye?” WAIT — did Heather just admit that Jen hit on her?! Meredith was shocked.
Jen returns to the table for what appears to be round II. They’ve got their fists ready in case someone steps out of line because now we all (seem) know what they can do. Jen questions Danna’s mystery informant, but Danna claims that she only told Jen out of honesty.
The group is back in SLC, and Meredith is preparing a fundraiser for ADR, her sister’s new foundation. Meredith explains that it is mental health and the basis of addiction, so there must be a Mark Brooks participate in a fashion show. Meredith is excited (you wouldn’t know it based on her monotone voice), and she thinks about the women who will be attending the event after learning that Whitney won’t be able to make it. Meredith wondered how Lisa will be in the event, considering the relationship that Rocky.
Heather paid a visit to her famous bestie Angi H. Angie asks Heather directly if she has any memories of her eyes. Angie told Heather, but again, Heather danced around the black eye. Angie knows that Jen has emotions, and she repeatedly tells Heather that she doesn’t need to protect anyone.
Whitney is ready to let go of the bad and focus on the positive. As he was looking through some old photos, he called his stepbrother. Whitney realizes that as she grows up, some people (Heather) just can’t grow up with her.
Jen FaceTimes with her therapist, and she discusses the many emotions she’s going through. He went deeper into depression and anxiety, so his therapist warned him to prepare for the support he would need in the future. When Jen talks to her therapist about her husband and children, all I can think about is how they can get to 2022. DIARY next to her computer, and what secrets could be there?
Meredith’s fashion show fundraiser is underway, and she has high hopes because the cause is near and dear to her heart. When Meredith saw Danna and Angie K., she said the trip was “a lot.” He tells the women that he’s not “crazy” about his behavior (count crazy to five, and we all know when someone says he’s not crazy, he’s 100% crazy). She reminds Danna that she’s on a trip because Meredith got her (ouch), and after tearing her a new one, Meredith sends her on her way.
Lisa knows that Meredith doesn’t like her, but she comes to support mental health awareness. However, Meredith only believes Lisa showed up so she can pose for social media and save face.
Turns out Jen asked Anggi K. for the invoice of the party Angie spent for Trainer (all $13,000), and Jen wants to pay it back. It doesn’t look good to know you owe someone money, especially when you’re going to try to scam.
Lisa, Angie, and Danna are talking about how Angie H. is called Jen. He couldn’t believe that Jen agreed to sit down to discuss the incident caused by the Harringtons that made her attempt to kill herself. Danna says that Jen isn’t a good person OR a good friend, and she needs to be consistent, or else, critical.
Meredith in a sequined suit during the day is everything. He addressed his pride to his sister and nephew and then a good fashion show ensues. After the show, Jen and Coach asked Angie K. and her husband aside to settle the score, if you will. Coaches don’t want to owe anyone, and that’s a real shame. Angie was right when she said she needed to pay cash before the government froze Jen’s account…
The next day, Heather goes to her former friend Whitney’s house. At one time, Bad Weather was a force to be reckoned with, but now, with Whitney announcing their breakup, things aren’t the same. Whitney tells Heather she’s worried about her even though it’s a weird place. Heather is surprised to learn that Whitney cares about her well-being. Heather reminds Whitney that she doesn’t know what’s going on in her life, up to and including what caused her black eye.
Whitney tried every tactic to find out how Heather was injured, but Heather wasn’t budging. He kept his eyes on Whitney as Danna dangles Jen’s informant. Whitney wanted to be a safe place for Heather (after she told Heather earlier in the season that she wasn’t a safe place for Whitney), and Heather laughed and said, “Boob Jen. [gave her the black eye]. That’s the power of nature.”
In all seriousness, Heather tells Whitney, “I don’t know if I’m going to tell you because trust is broken.” Whitney basically begs Heather to tell her, but Heather stands her up. She is really hurt by this friendship, and she tells him that their friendship will never be as strong as it used to be. In true breakup mode, Heather tells Whitney, “Let’s love each other and give each other space.” And I’m sure Whitney is more upset about not knowing who gave Heather a black eye than the friendship…
