Whitney Rose statement Heather Gay swear to take how he sustained a mysterious black eye to the grave.
In the midst of swirling rumors, Heather admitted that she was injured during the war Mr. Shah or drunk fall, the The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star admits feeling confused about Heather’s secret as Angie Katsanevas suspect a castmate who can protect the abuser.
“I feel like again he’s trying to deflect,” Whitney shared in the January 4 episode of RHOSLC: After the Show. “‘What happened to your eye and you’re okay? Like, you need help?'”
According to Whitney, she was always willing to protect Heather if she asked for help.
“I’m really confused why they don’t trust the information and I know it’s not about rumours. It’s deeper than that,” she said. “It just hurts because at the end of the day, I eat sh-t from him but he still doesn’t see that I’ll be there for him.”
“Just because I’m taking her place doesn’t mean I’m not worried about her well-being. We’re all watching Heather kind of go through something. I don’t know what yet, but obviously something changed with Heather last year and I know from a lot of people around her, everyone concerned,” Whitney said, adding that Heather’s business partner, Dre, told him he was worried, too.
“I reached out to Dre and I just said, ‘Hey, I’m really concerned about Heather.’ And Dre said, ‘Me too,'” she said. “He wouldn’t talk about it. Whenever he did, he would say, ‘I’m not talking. I’m taking it to the grave. I don’t want to talk about it.'”
But as Heather noted, she didn’t feel comfortable opening up to Whitney at that time.
“I’m not in a place to confide in him or in a place to ask him for advice… I don’t trust him anymore,” Heather stated.
As Heather maintained her silence, the “friend” of ROSLCAngie Harrington and Angie K., can’t help but wonder what has happened to her.
“It’s really annoying. I really tried to hit him. I have to be honest, I feel like I don’t want to talk about it, but I have to respect it… I have to remember not to take it personally. Maybe he was burned,” Angie H. noted.
Meanwhile, Angie K. pointed out that she believed Heather was in more pain than she was showing.
“He is very vulnerable with me and my wife. There are times I have looked over and Heather is crying on my husband’s shoulder and I have selfishly felt like, ‘Why don’t you open up to me at that level?’ And I think Heather takes a lot more than most people realize,” he reflected. “This woman is looking for her son. He wrote this book. He runs a business. He has left the church, which means you are running away from your family. He carries an enormous burden.
Angie K. then suggested that something more sinister was going on.
“I hope he doesn’t protect the abuser. And that’s just to show, where he is at. Girl, you have to love yourself enough not to protect the person who did this to you,” he said. “He still hasn’t told me. I asked him two days ago what happened and he said, ‘I’m not going to tell you.’ I said, ‘Will I ever know?’ He said, ‘Maybe.’ I don’t know who and what they are protecting.
During the other part of the RHOSLC: After the ShowWhitney and Heather had a sit-down discussion in front of Whitney, with Whitney admitting that when she didn’t get everything she wanted and needed out of that chat, she asked for closure.
“I feel like this is my last chance to try to get into Heather and I don’t think so,” Whitney said. “I just want them to know, like, just because our relationship can look different, it’s Whitney and Heather. It doesn’t have to be Bad Weather. We don’t have to be the same person… I’m never going to stop caring for Heather. I’m never going to stop not loving to Heather, but I have to keep her in a different place and love her differently.
As for Whitney, she said that after the “terrible fight” in Arizona, she’s doing her best to move forward even though what happened between them “feels messed up.”
“I’m grateful that Whitney accepts me, that I’m in her house, that we talk and make mistakes, but I also feel wary,” she said. “This is the first time we’ve talked about anything with me.”
Unfortunately, whatever progress was made came to naught when the season began to air.
“I watched the episode and the damage really came from hearing what he was thinking and feeling about me at that time,” Heather stated. “I mean, he called me ‘Woe is me girl.’ He said some pretty hurtful things.
Real Housewives of Salt Lake City season three airs Wednesdays at 8/7c on Bravo.
