The beginning of something new! Heather Rae Young and Tarek El Moussa spoke candidly about her plans to expand her family ahead of the news in July 2022 that she is expecting her first child.
At Flip or Flop star married a real estate agent in October 2021 in California, and the couple included the groom’s children in their wedding. (The HGTV personality shared daughter Taylor and son Brayden with his ex-wife, Christina Hack.)
“Tarek treated me like a wife from the start and he supported me being his stepmother to the kids, but there’s something special about officially being part of the El Moussa family,” she said. Sell Sunset star wrote via Instagram after the ceremony. “These children are everything, so we decided to say our vows first to the children and to others. This is only a small part of what I say to the children, but I really mean every word: When your father and I decided to be faithful , I am also 100 percent committed to you. I am beyond honored to be your bonus mom. Thank you for allowing me to love your father with all my heart. I love you both more than you will ever know.
El Moussa’s eldest son made a toast at the rehearsal dinner, joking about Young’s initial reaction to his father’s “chicken legs.” At Flipping 101 With Tarek El Moussa star joked that her daughter “can’t stop,” writing, “Toast goes so fast.”
At Flip Your Life The author’s wife has maintained a close relationship with their children since they began dating in 2019. Young also spoke “every day” with Haack when they were children.
“She is the most important thing in the world to all of us,” the former Playboy model said Us Weekly in April 2021. “So, if the children are happy, we are all happy. … They respect me as a bonus mother. They love me. I love them so much.”
Young added that the relationship with him was “challenging” at first because of his age, explaining, “He already had a routine. I went in after the fact. So, it just fits into my life, being very strict or just setting those boundaries and rules and not going beyond the boundaries or the rules . [was hard].”
