On Thursday, Tarek El Moussa announced via Instagram that his first child with wife Heather Rae Young arrived two days early.
“Mom and baby are happy, healthy, tired but healthy. Hearts are so happy,” the HGTV personality wrote as a caption on the image below.
As you can see, it features a pair of baby cradles with hands:
We don’t know the child’s name or any size at this time.
The new arrival joins Tarek’s older children — Brayden, 7, and Taylor, 12, with ex-wife Christina Hall.
“Being a father for the third time is just as exciting as the first. Our baby boy is amazing and Heather was a rock star when she gave birth,” Tarek told Us Weekly.
“I’ve never seen Tay and Bray so happy when they meet their sister.”
The former Flip or Flop co-host and Selling Sunset star confirmed the gender of the impending baby boy in July.
Adding real estate investors to the publication:
“We are on cloud 9 and soaking in all of the snuggles and bonding with our little boy as an official family of 5.
“My heart is getting bigger and I feel like the luckiest person on the planet.”
The couple spoke openly last year about how they were in the middle of in vitro fertilization treatment … and had even scheduled a date for an embryo transfer … when they were surprised to learn they were expecting their first child together.
The stars began dating in 2019 after Tarek finalized his divorce from Christina Hall (née Haack) in 2018.
He proposed to Heather in July 2020 – a year after their first date – and they married in October 2021.
“These kids are everything, so we decided to say our first vows to them and more,” Heather wrote about her stepchildren via Instagram in October 2021.
“This is just a small part of what I tell the kids, but I really mean every word:
“When your father and I decided to be committed, I was also 100 percent committed to you. I am beyond honored to be your bonus mother.
“Thank you for allowing me to love your father. I love you both more than you will ever know.
Speaking to Life and Style before exchanging vows, Heather said that Tarek has changed his mind about having children.
“When you find your soulmate, I think your mind changes and how you think about the future changes,” she said.
“Like, I never thought I’d be a parent. I never thought I’d be married to someone with kids and an ex [wife]. I never thought I would be in this position. So, from the moment I met him, I was 100 percent committed.
“I never thought twice about it, and our lives were crazy and I was like, ‘Well, what else?'”
