Suspected kidnappers have attacked and kidnapped two wives and six children from Mutumbiyu sub-district, Sani Muhammad.
Mutumbayu is in Gasol Regional Government Area Taraba State.
Police in the state, said the incident happened in Jalingo, the state capital, on Thursday.
Witnesses said gunmen stormed the house of the king, a retired judge in broad daylight and took away members of his family.

The Spokesperson of the Taraba Police Command, Usman Abdullahi, confirmed the incident of the kidnapping, saying that security operatives have been on the move and trailing the criminals in the hope of rescuing the victims unharmed.
“The two wives and six children of chief Mutumbiyu were abducted at about 1 o’clock on Thursday and efforts are being made to rescue them,” said Mr. Usman.
