Gombe State Governor and governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Muhammadu Yahaya, has won the polling unit in Saturday’s state election.
Governor Yahaya has voted in Kofar Yahaya Umar 010 in Jekadafari Local Government Area of Gombe.
Announcing the results, the chairman of the polling unit, Abdullahi Ali, said Mr. Yahaya won the polling unit with 467 votes.
The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Muhammed Barde, polled 40 votes while the candidate Kamisu Mailantarki of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) polled seven votes.
The presiding officer also said that there are 1,493 registered voters in the polling unit.
Of these 473 people have been accredited to vote in the election in the voting unit. Out of 473 votes, four were invalid and 10 were rejected.
