According to him, although the current government is working hard, the economic crisis is hindering the party’s ability to create a campaign message before the 2024 general election.
“President Akufo-Addo has done well, when the NPP came, there was no Free SHS, but it has been brought. We have also implemented Plant For Food And Jobs, One District, One Factory, and some policies, but we all know that times are difficult.
“We are all experiencing difficulties, we have worked hard but due to economic difficulties, the main message to campaign as a party for the 2024 elections has become difficult for us,” he said.
Mr. Kyerematen who spoke for the Sefwi Wiaso Traditional Council attributed the current crisis to the ongoing government’s halting of the policies of the ancestors.
“You see, one of the main challenges as a country is how successive governments have abandoned the policies inherited from other governments. This is what is affecting our development efforts.
“So I want for the first time in the history of the country, to allow the NPP to continue, so that our policies can take root while eliminating bad policies. If we have good intentions for this country that must happen,” said Mr. Kyerematen
The flag bearer hope further urged the Chiefs to advise the delegates to choose a leader who will be accepted by the whole country.
He admitted that the sick economic situation will make it difficult for the NPP to convince Ghanaians to stay in the next polls.
